Akeem is a NZ Registered Physiotherapist and ACC-endorsed provider with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He is also registered with the UK regulatory body and the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTB). With five years of clinical experience, Akeem has worked across musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and community physiotherapy roles in private practice, hospital settings, post-surgical rehabilitation, and community-based care.
Akeem specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, vocational and social rehabilitation, early intervention and injury prevention, and sports rehabilitation. He uses a biopsychosocial, patient-centred approach, combining hands-on therapy, structured exercise programmes, taping, and clear, practical education to achieve long-term outcomes. His focus is on identifying the root cause of pain and dysfunction while tailoring treatment to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and activity demands. Akeem is passionate about empowering patients with self-management strategies to reduce the risk of re-injury and support a confident return to work, sport, and everyday life. He also speaks Yoruba and Pidgin.
